IMAGINE IF THEY FEARED US LIKE WE FEAR THEM
Imagine If They Feared Us Like We Fear Them aims to empower women by envisioning a world where the power dynamics are inverted, and women are feared as much as women fear men. This fear reflects the pervasive and ongoing threat of gendered violence that women face daily.
Through my photographs, I present women in a dystopian realm as formidable and intimidating beings. These images serve as a powerful response to experiences of sexism, harassment, assault. By portraying women as scary creatures, I aim to both embody and reflect their resilience and strength, turning their fears into a source of empowerment.
This project challenges viewers to confront the realities of gendered violence and invites them to imagine a world where women's strength is recognised and revered. Works seek to provoke thought, inspire change, ultimately contributing to a dialogue about gender equality and women's empowerment.
